Obtaining Cards for a Registration Drive
All requests for 100 or more voter registration cards shall be accompanied by a completed SEL Form 505.
Requests will be filled as follows:
- Requests for less than 500 are filled by the County Elections Official
- Requests for more than 500 are filled by the Secretary of State’s Office
- For requests more than 5000 see below

No one may request more than a total of 5000 cards between the 250th day before the Primary Election or between the day after the Primary Election and the 250th day before the next Primary Election. All records are kept by the Secretary of State’s Office.

If More Than 5000 Registration Cards Requested
The Secretary of State will honor requests for delivery of more than 5000 registration cards in the following circumstances:
- The request is made in writing and the requester agrees to pay the printing costs of the cards requested (at the discretion of the Secretary of State and according to Secretary of State specifications) or
- The request is made in writing and the requester provides the following information and assurances:
- Requester provides a plan for distribution of the cards, including the names of persons or organizations involved in the registration drive, distribution locations, publicity related to the registration drive, coordination with other registration drives, if applicable, and any other pertinent details of the effort
- Requester provides written assurances that any unused registration cards after the completion of the registration drive will be returned to the Secretary of State
